Migos hint at forthcoming movie and new music.

(AllHipHop Features) The 2018 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards was another one for the books as Hip Hop & R&B’s brightest stars gathered at the Beverly Wilshire in Los Angles during BET Awards week.
Recording artists, music executives, and members of the media joined ASCAP in recognizing and celebrating songwriters and publishers of the most performed ASCAP songs of 2017.
The 2017 songwriters weren’t the only ones celebrated as chart-topping Hip Hop trio Migos was honored with the ASCAP Vanguard Award, and veteran R&B group Xscape was honored with the ASCAP Golden Note Award.
ASCAP Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Jermaine Dupri gave touching remarks about XSCAPE’s early career and presented the ASCAP Golden Note Award to the four original members of the group, LaTocha and Tamika Scott, Kandi Burruss, and Tameka “Tiny” Harris.
The ASCAP Golden Note Award has also recognized other iconic songwriters, composers and artists who have reached extraordinary career milestones such as Usher, Lauryn Hill, Ne-Yo, Mary Mary, A Tribe Called Quest, Alicia Keys, New Edition, Lionel Richie, Jermaine Dupri, LL Cool J, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jay-Z and many more.
Quavo, Offset & Takeoff better known as Migos, were celebrated with the Vanguard award for expanding Hip Hop’s palette with their boundary-breaking music and creativity.
ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Songwriter of the Year was a tie between Gucci Mane (“Black Beatles,” Rae Sremmurd ft. Gucci Mane; “Both,” Gucci Mane ft. Drake, more) and Quavo (“Bad and Boujee,” Migos ft. Lil Uzi Vert; “Good Drank,” 2 Chainz x Gucci Mane x Quavo, more).
The Top Rap Song went to “HUMBLE.” written by Kendrick Lamar and Mike WiLL Made-IT.
The A-list audience of celebrities included 2 Chainz, Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, PartyNextDoor, Jeremih, Meek Mill, Dej Loaf,, Rotimi and Kevin Gates, and many more.
AllHipHop caught up with ASCAP Vanguard Award recipients Migos to discuss being honored in front of their musical peers and their forthcoming music.
AllHipHop: You’re being honored tonight, how does it feel?
Quavo: It’s a blessing.
TakeOff: Yesss it’s a blessing.
Offset: Great feeling; great feeling. Shout out to ASCAP. We’re a family since day one.
TakeOff: I can’t explain it, it’s big. Real big.
Quavo: We work very hard; very hard.
AllHipHop: So what’s next for Migos? What are you working on? I know cranking out some more hit music, but I have to hear about this.
Quavo: Nothing but musical moments, more musical moments. More visuals, more videos, and you know we have a movie in the pot. We cookin’ it.
TakeOff: More awards, most definitely.
Offset: More grind, more hard work, more after hours, more extra work. Migos in the building.
