1.How Long Have You Been In The Rap Industry?
Yes, Hummmmm … That’s a good question, Well since my first song in the studio this year which I finished in April of 2018 that pretty much starts my mark and new beginning. Although I’ve been a poet and a writer since a young girl I would dream things and imagine things more like words that comes to reality. I was inspired more in middle school from friends doing a group something like destiny child. I thought a was a perfect little singer then. In high school in my literature class I had a teacher in the ninth grade her name was Mrs.Netter. She had the entire class write a poem and I was into Ashanti song “Baby” and I wrote a poem as the song but I think I put my own lil twist to it not knowing I was doing a damn remix or something lol ! but anyway it was inspiring and uplifting to me at that moment of my life for me to have a way with words. I remember my first cassette player or my second I got for my birthday I got a buster rhyme and Janet Jackson tape from Walmart and wrote the entire song by hand on notebook paper I even wrote out lil Wayne feat. hot boys “shine” song it went “yellow viper, yellow hummer, yellow benz , yellow tp cruiser yellow lac on rims”… anyone who knows that song it was a hit then and still now in my book. I was all into it back then only at age 6 or 7 I’ll say maybe a lil older. I had a thing for printing lyrics and trying to sing them from the computer at home or even the library I was In love with words and sound at a very young age. I was in love with Mya Angelou poem still I rise as well. 2 Pac (R.I.P.) is always thought about when I read a poem especially a rose in the concrete very inspiring and influential to me and my music because its real.
2.Who Are Your Major Influences In Your Music?
My family and most importantly my son is who I do it for. Since a lil girl my parents has made music an influence in me and my siblings life . My dad also did a rap for me when I was younger to it was fun but I just know music is my gift from god and I feel good doing it. My influences come from people before me as well in the music industry who continue to push forward good quality music, producers, and artist whoever you know right now . Me and my sisters would sing together and even make up songs . My middle sister now is on YouTube as Vontrece Brown and Facebook we been doing this music . I be doing mines on the low tho lol. I continue to strive and influence others and myself and write songs that actually is realistic and someone can relate to enjoy and have fun. And even sometimes it may get emotional. Music is just one of my talent s and I try to make it quality as possible and I like it that way. I would also mention that today’s rappers are an influence to my music as well and upcoming artist when I hear there music . Rappers before my time paved the way for us and I’m thankful especially for Run D.M.C. And Florida rappers like 69 Boys and Mase.
